My work is
concerned with paradox, the illusion of duality and the persistence of
ritual in our lives. I am deeply fascinated by the many transformations of
the human spirit and its quest for revelatory experience.
These paintings are generally allegorical in nature. They are my
perception of mankind's aspiration to commune with the divine-self.
Painting, the act and the imagery, allows one to approach certain subjects
without draining them of their force and mystery. There is in it the
consciousness of a waking dream within which to marvel and expand into. |
